How to play Back 4 Blood in Cross-play?

First of all, you will need to add your friend in the Back 4 Blood dashboard if you haven’t already. This way, you will be able to invite your friend. Keep reading below if you wish to learn how to do play with other cross-platform friends.

Adding friends

Adding friends is quite straightforward if you follow these steps.

  1. Click on the “Social” button to open the Friends dashboard like shown below:

That should open the Friend dashboard where you should be able to see your current Steam friends.

  1. Now, you should click on the “Add friends” button in order to add your friend to your friend list and be able to play:

  1. Type in your friend username which can be found next to the “Add friends button and finally click on “Search”:

At this point, you should have succesfully sent an friend invite to your friend. They will only need to click on Accept invite on the Friend requests button from the Social dashboard:

Inviting cross-play friends

Finally, now that you have added your friend to your Back 4 Blood friend list, you will need to send them a Group invite to get started.

  3. Once you’re viewing your party members, you will need to click on the “+” button to add members to your Party and play co-op together. Back 4 Blood Invite a member

After doing that, you will need to select your friend that you wish to invite to the group. Once that is done, your friend will need to accept your party invite and you two will be good to start killing zombies and save humanity together!

How do you turn on crossplay on Back 4 Blood?

Keep in mind that crossplay is enabled by default on Back 4 Blood, so if you haven’t opened the game settings you should be able to play with your crossplay friends with no issues.

However, if you want to make sure that this is enabled, you will need to click on the “Play Menu”. So, head to the matchmaking tent:
